DUT is in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian, in northeastern China’s Liaoning Province. It covers three campuses (the main campus, the campus at the development zone, Panjin campus). The total area of DUT is 4.262 million square meters, construction area is 1.622 million square meters. The libraries of DUT have more than 3.047 million books, with more than 58000 Chinese and foreign electronic journals. The sports area is 215000 square meters. Meanwhile, DUT has a first-class campus network system.


The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2024

Currently, the total number of DUT staff is 3762, including 2184 full-time teachers. DUT has 11 academicians from the Chinese Academy of sciences and the Chinese academy of Engineering, 20 part-time teachers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 10 members from the national academic degree committee of the state council discipline appraisal, 18 members of “One thousand plan” (including 5 of “one thousand of youth”), 23 distinguished professors of “Cheungkong scholars” plan, 11 chair professors, 33 National outstanding youth fund gainer, 10 chief scientists from “973 plan” project, 2 chief scientists from “973 plan” young scientists project, 13 teachers listed in national Pacesetter engineering candidate, 18 gainers of “cross-century talents” funded by the ministry of education, 122 winners of “New century excellent talents plans” supported by the ministry of education, 4 “outstanding national university teacher” winners, 27 “outstanding provincial university teacher” winners, 614 doctoral supervisors, 649 professors, and 1153 associate professors. So far there are 36960 full-time students in DUT (3903 PhDs, 10161 masters, 22210 undergraduates, 76 preparatory students, and 610 international students); besides, 5071 part-time postgraduates are also studying at DUT.

1. Dalian University of Technology (DUT) will offer the Chinese Government Scholarship -High Level Postgraduate Program for doctor or master degree students in 2024.

This scholarship only supports graduate programs. Scholarship duration is three years for master’s programs and four years for doctoral programs.

2. Most programs at DUT are instructed in Chinese, and DUT also offer some English-taught programs. For more details on programs, please refer to the attachments.

3. The scholarship duration specified in the Admission Notice, covering major study, cannot be extended in general.

4. Students are not permitted, in principle, to apply to change their specialties, institutions or the duration of study as specified in the Admission Notice.

3. Notarized the highest diploma (notarized photocopy). If applicants are university students or already employed, they shall also provide studying certificates or employment documents. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

4. Academic transcripts (From the undergraduate program onwards). Academic records from the first to the last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if any), and doctoral programs (if any) shall be provided. The transcript shall be issued and sealed by the graduate university’s academic affairs office or student management department. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

5. A study plan proposal in Chinese or in English (no less than 1000 words). Please expatiate on the major or research field you would like to study at DUT, and sign by DUT supervisors. Refer to the attachments.

6. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors from the university which applicants graduated.These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth. Refer to the attachments.

7. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Blood Test Report (applicants should keep the original one) filled in English. It is printed by Chinese quarantine authority and only for those whose period of studies in China lasts up to six months. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results are valid for 6 month. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed and attach the blood test report, and should be conducted after October, 2023.

8. Photocopy of passport photo page and one blank visa page (Ordinary passport expires after September 2024).

9. Language Proficiency certificates. Refer to the Language requirement in the qualification.

10. Certificate of No-Criminal Conviction. 

11. Applicants who are now in China must submit a scan of a Photocopy of their Visa.
