Xuechu Chen | The Global Institute for Urban and Regional Sustainability I am interested in the cycling of nitrogen and phosphorus in saltmarshes and freshwater wetlands. Much of my work has been focused in the dynamics of phytoplankton and saltmarshes in response to chemical and physical alterations, and its feedback on ecosystem. I am also an ecological engineer, specialized in designing created wetland, constructed wetland and harmful algal control systems.
